There's an easier way...no need for any secondary programs. Download PowerToys for XP. Theres an image resizer thats available for free.

I've had this same problem over and over- my son, who is pretty good with a computer says rennlist is a pain as far as pix posting is concerned. He has no trouble whatsoever over at audiworld.... I've noticed many pictures here that are HUGE and have no idea how the people posted them. Good luck!

Pegasus JPEG Wizard is the best I've ever used. It's a JPEG file compression tool. www.pegasusimaging.com

The image resize tool is pretty cool. After you install it, right click on the picture. It will give you an option "Resize Pictures". Then you can choose a size. I resized a 2MB 2592x1944 picture to 1024x768 and it is 112KB. Pretty slick.

Jeff....not only is it alive (after a period of narcisistic alienation) it is now back with a vengeance! I recently came back to Apple after a hiatus of roughly 20 years and will NEVER go back to windows. More powerful and faster than a PC not to mention no blue screen of death (since it is UNIX based) and no drivers to load EVER for peripherals. Just your basic run of the mill a** kicking plug and play trouble free computer
And best of all, I can still run Windows programs that I need on my iMAC using Virtual PC.
Have a look:
