Pictures are too big

I use:
http://www.irfanview.com/
Free and a breeze to use. It is not complicated and it allows you to resize really fast.
Also, the trick to post a big pic is the low the quality and colors...

I use Photoshop 7. The image size is dependent upon what your camera image quality is set to...i.e., raw, basic, fine, extra fine, normal and so on.
In PS and other image processing programs you can resize the it to whatever height or width you want. When I post up I try to make my images no larger than 4 x 6 inches. They load quicker and the file size is smaller.

This is interesting....I just right clicked a bunch of Avatars, and selected properties....I see some that are 130x110........when I created one that was 100x100, it said it was too big, so I kept reducing, until it accepted one @80x80.....what's the deal?

Thanks Carlos!
1. use safari
2. choose the photo album and picture you want to link. the slide show viewer will pop up. click on the picture again and another window will spawn.
3. press apple/command D to bookmark this page.
4. go to your bookmarks and copy (command) the web address of the bookmarked picture.
5. when inserting an image link into the post, paste (command V) the address into the image web link.
that's it!

it could be because the file size is too big.
