Default new guy needs some help....

i am looking at buy a 996...what is all this "narrow body/wide body" stuff? it seems like there was a change in 2000...??? is this correct? if so what was changed?

i would like to find a white C2 with an aero package, if not i will but a aero kit and add it to the car but i am a little confused as to what has been changed.

thanks for any help

Default Here You Go

Wide Body refers to the Turbo and C4S Bodys. Wide because the Intercoolers (Turbo) are located outboard the engine, requiring a wider rear body width.

The 996 Turbo was introduced in 2001. The C4S was introduced in 2003 as a Turbo-Look style.

Jax, thanks for the input. i understand that part, turbo c4s bodys etc, etc. but what i am refering to in on model years 99-2002 it seems like there was a change to the c2 body with people refering to a "wide body or narrow body". It does not seem as they are speaking about a standard turbo width.

it seems as they are speaking about front fender width and front bumper width. is this possible?

i know this sounds like a naive question and im sorry, i have been away from P-cars since 98... I used to drive a 97 993tt. now i am just trying to make sure i understand the little differences.

thanks
