3.8l RSR motor is not from the 996 generation of car and probably cannot be put in without a massive cost investment. RS, R, RSR engines are pure race engines (ITB's, motec management, very high redlines) that are designed for lemans and ***** out racing. recommended rebuild periods are somehting like every 40 hrs. Not really practical for the street unless you have deep pockets.

i'm no expert and i'm sure others can advise you better.
you have a C4S right? if you want more power talk to some tuners like EVOMS, vivid racing, akkurat and such who might be able 2 supercharge ur car.

oh, and welcome 2 rennlist

Why not put a 996 Gt3 engine in it. I think the TT engine would be a ton of more work to do.

My two cents. If you feel that you really need to do anything to a 996, it would be wiser to install a supercharger or RUF turbo kit than trying to swap out the motor. However, with the expense involved, you should consider whether a different car altogether would make sense (ala a used 996tt).

I'd say if you got 10-12K to spend then supercharge it..... You said you wanted to keep the car right? This the way to keep it while giving it just as much if not more punch than the TT....
