I cant belive porsche wont do a recall.

A recall? Are you serious? A recall is designed for a defect that can affect the safety of the car. This is not a situation that warrants a recall nor does it affect a significant number of cars. This topic has been beat into the ground. If you are in warranty, it gets fixed. If you are out, then at most $800 and very oftern done gratis by your dealership. It's not as a big deal as you are making it.
