in manhattan it is unfortuante, most of the hotels will force you to valet.

most other lots will let you park it yourself for a few extra bucks. i have this great place down near 42nd street they take great care of me and let me park it myself on a spot up front.

i only drive to manhattan if i have to and i taxi inside the city, much easier and better for peace of mind.
