It might just be in my head, but the suspension on my car is not as hard or as "sharp" as it was. Then again after driving a 97 civic with everything broken on it all winter, my sense of suspension could be off.
It might also be because my car went on a diet over the winter: Spare tire and tool kit (thats gotta be like 40 pounds), bypass pipes 55 lbs, gt3 seats 30lbs i think, if not more, and some other little ods and sods to equate to roughly 15-170lbs lost. could this be the reason the suspension doesn't feel as sharp? because the factory M030 is set up for a certain weight and needs harder springs and different damnping to compensate for the lost weight?
or should i just take the little pills that my doctor keep giving me.
other pertinant info: car just rolled passed 35000 kms. its is stored on blocks during the winter with the rims still on so that might have pulled down on the suspension and fudged with stuff (although i don't know why i didn't notice it last season).
stored on blocks???? Do you mean the wheels off the ground and shocks at full droop? If so that is a huge mistake and the shocks leak if fully extended for even a moderate amount of time
I was told explicitly not to store the car on blocks for exactly that same reason. I think your "floatiness" could definitely have something to do with that. I just store mine with tires overinflated to prevent flat spots and with the battery maintainer plugged in.
werid...i was always under the impression that leaving a car on blocks or jackstands was a fairly common practice. i inspected the shocks before/after bringing it back down and there didn't seem to be any fluids leaking.
Dead eye: I had PSS9s on my 2002 C2 and they were great! If you are going to track the car it is a good way to go. Adjustable height, corner balance adjustable ride. X74 no corner, no adjustment. Great for street but not for track
^ yeah that was the conclusion i came to. my car is driven hard and i like 2 tweek settings to get them just right. PSS9's will give me that opportunity and keep the "****-up-ability" to an acceptable level as opposed to say Moton's.
