Last price check question..I think I found my first P-car..2002 C2 cab..........
Firstly, thanks in advance to those that responded to a previous thread re: 2001 vs. 2002 - I've driven many of each and the 2002 is definitely the better car.
The car is Lapis blue with grey interior and silver top. 24,000 miles - does not have full leather. It seems the only options are tiptronic, PSM, heated seats and Xenons. It has side skirts and 18" 5 spoke rims. I need a tip so my wife can drive the car.
Comes with an extra set of rims with new Blizzak LM22s (I live in the Midwest and will use the car in winter temps but not snow - obviously the stock rubber turns into a hockey puck when the temps dip low).....
Asking price is $58,000 - does this seem correct? (private sale - factory warranty until ~10/05) - I'll be purchasing an extended warranty later.
FWIW, I know I'll be buying an extra set of rims with winter rubber when I find the right car so the rims/winter tires are worth something to me.
Thanks in advance.

I bought mine w 17000 mi for $57k on eBay. Had xenon, 18, bose, windscreen, tip, cdc. No psm or heated seats (too bad).
I think $55k is more reasonable since the 997 cabs are out now and this one has 24000 mi. Get the hard top if you plan to drive year round w snow tires. Make sure it's in good condition and check the warranty service records at dealer (they can lookup on web even if the work isn't done by the particular dealer).

Thanks for the replies - we settled on $57,000....the car is in....
excellent condition. I have a friend at a dealership who will be removing the clear bra that is on there (it's peeling a tiny bit) - hopefully the paint is perfect underneath it. They will be doing a full detail to get rid of the few swirl marks that are there (glaze, polish, etc...)......
The car is going for a PPI today - hopefully everything checks out.

Well, I think I did well. Considering that I live in the midwest.....
and do not ever plan to own any garage queens, I would be buying a winter tire/rim set-up.
I do not plan to drive the car in the snow, but, my experience with high performance tires in cold weather alone (not even wet or snowy, just really, really cold) leads me to believe I want winter rubber.
Anyway, I know the first thing I would do next October/November is buy an extra set of rims and tires - knowing a good set of Blizzaks or Wintersport M3s will cost me ~$800-1000 and decent rims more than that, I think I got a nice deal. To me, the extra set of rims ands tires are worth $2000 (which is easily what I'd spend on a winter set-up) - so, the way I looked at it was comparing this car to other cars costing $55,000.
I'm excited - appt to take delivery at 9:30am - how will I sleep?
