Any warranty issues if I get the B&M rather the Porsche?

Not sure...hopefully some of the others can chime in. I know that some have posted that they were asked to put the stick shifter back in for work related to tranny.

I don't see how. First, the shifter itself really affects very few parts. In other words, I cannot imagine a warranty eligible repair that can be claimed to have been caused by installation of the shifter. In any event, if you get denied by one dealer, you can swap out the entire shift gate with another Porsche (really very easy to do), take the car to a different dealer, get the repair done, and then swap back in the original shift gate. Second, I don't think you would ever have to worry about it in the first place, particularly because the exact same shifter is available from the factory.

Except that dealers share a common computer system and you can bet there will be a remark about 'aftermarket shifter'.

That's why you need to be super nice to your dealer, just like you need to be super nice to your waiter. I have never had any problems whatsoever, and I have even had dealers go to bat for me on things they know they probably should not have. It's all about relationships . . .

I just booked my hotel for watkins glen over july 4th. Potomac is going there for a three day event. For the first time ever, I will be taking my wife, three kids under 2 years old and two nannies. I think I will have to ship my car up and drive the minivan with he clan I rented all the rooms of a B&B so that my family would have enough room and be happy. It is crucial to the future of my addiction that this weekend goes well. I have heard that Watkins Glen is beautiful and that there is a lot of non-track things to do. I hope so. Any recommendations on nice restaurants, activities, etc . . .

There is a whole list of places and 'attractions' on the metropca website, check it out. You will love that track, I did 150 on the back straight last yr. The track is the next best thing to Barber. Bring a set of brake pads and familairize yourself with the diy on them. You may want to invest in a set of track rims/tires. One more thing, there ain't NO concessions in the pits, bring everything you need and be sure and try to get a indoor garage space.
FWIW,my avatar shows a shot from last october, that viper just can't keep up!

DE's are for ALL types of cars.....not just the rocket cars. A well seasoned driver could turn out a better time in your C2 than a rookie in a GT3. Hope that helps!

NOW GO HAVE FUN AND TRACK THAT THING!!!!!!
