Default Clear Bra - Invinca-shield

In an effort to find a 3M clear bra installer in my part of the woods, I have been told that there are a couple of "patterns" using the 3M product. Xcel is one and Incinca-shield is another. One rep told me that the incinca-shield has more relief cuts and can threrfore be fitted better ,especially over the curves.Does anyone have any info on this?
Thanks..

Yes, I have Invinca-shield on my 996, Mercedes E430 and am currently installing it on my MDX. It is easier to install than other brands but still takes lots of patience.

Overall, it works well.

The Invincashield kit is easier to install because there are more pieces. I had it on a while back and had it replaced because I didn't like the lines across the bumper. I'd recommend you find an installer that can do the bumper in 1 piece. If the installer is good, he can do it and make it come out way better looking.

Here is a diagram for the 996 kit from www.invinca-shield.com. If you want to do it yourself, and you don't mind the seams, then this is probably the way to go. If not, I'd say find an installer who can do it in one piece. Hope this helps.

If you can, find a custom installer. My guy did it totally custom. Installed a template, then a computer laser cut the clearbra and then the install. Fantastic job. Cost s a bit more this way but so worth it. Not sure how close you are to Baltimore, but my guy here in Vegas has his other location in Baltimore. If you need the info let me know.

I'm not even considering doing this myself. One of the installers that called me was pushing the incinca-shield. The other was excel. Both of these guys are about an hour away. I would certainly drive further to insure a good job.

If you do not mind having seams on the center of the bumper or other areas, then Invinca-shield will provide you the best bang for the buck. However, if seams do bother you......then these multiple piece kits would not suit you. Even if installed correctly, there will be visible lines here and there.
