Need to replace the rears only and have come to the realization that Michelin no longer makes the PS2's in my exact size: 285/30/18 for my 18" carrera 5 spoke 10" wide wheels.
I really don't want to buy 4 new tires as my front tires are in great shape. Would any of the following PS2 sizes work for my rear rims?
275/35/18
295/30/18
295/35/18
any trade off to putting a different size than the OEM size?
tia as usual

Just make sure are within the 3% maximum deviation.
The 275/35 would be 3.3% which equates to 28 revs per mile (not good)
The 295/30 would be less than 1% (very good replacement if you have widen than a 10" rim)
The 295/35 is over 5% and your worst choice.
If you have the 10" rim go with either a 275/30 which is less than 1% or the 265/35 which is just over 2%.
Remember, 265/35 was the OEM size from 99-01 for the 18x10 rim. I have since moved from that to the 285/30 on my rims.

Don't hold me to it, but if I am not mistaken you need the 11" rim for that tire. It can probably fit but you will bill on the max limit. Why not get the PS Rib?

on the last atlanta drive, one of the ferrari 328's had pilot sport a/s. he said the performance was identical to the PS2's but they had a longer tread wear life. anybody ever heard of putting a/s on a 911???

they make a pilot sport a/s in 285/35/18 but then I'd have to get new fronts as well

As long as you don't have the C4 or C4S you will be fine in a 2WD. If I am not mistaken, the tread pattern is very similar b/t the PS2 and the PSRib.
