Do these plugs come with the gap preset?

999-170-207-91

At $16.98 I would hope they have already set the gap correctly. On-line next time for these!

They should be gapped properly, but double check before installing. I show a part number of:

999-170-207-90. This is the number for the new plugs that Porsche recommends. They say to use the Bosch - FGR 6 KQC plug. That's a four electrode plug. I do not use the new one, but still have the original plug FR6LDC and will use the same plug when I replace them or move to the Bosche Super R6-387.

The 999-170-207-91 was the one the dealer recommended to me and the one listed on Renntech DIY. It is also a four electrode plug as was the factor plug they replaced.

They must have changed the part number again. The four electrode plugs have a better chance of being properly gapped at dilivery and I think just eyeballing them (unless you drop one) will suffice.

That is what I did. I just assumed they were gapped so I didn't think about checking them. The car runs great, there is no way I am going to go back in to check them out at this point. The old ones were certainly ready for a change.

I assumed they would come pre-gapped but I wanted to make sure before installing them. That's why I asked what the gap was.

BTW - I paid $6.93 per plug (FGR6KQC Spark Plug; Copper; 4 Ground Electrode; OE Plug ) at http://www.autohausaz.com/
