I have a friend looking for a 2001-2003 C2/C4 Cab. This is a third car for him so he doesn't want to spend too much. He found a few low milage 2001's but was put off by the plastic rear window. The question is; Can 2001 and 2002 Cab's be retorfitted with glass rear windows? Anybody know the approximate cost? Issues?

MY02s already have glass. If a glass rear window is that important to him, he's better off getting a MY02 or later.

 

I checked into this for my MY2000 when I had the top and window changed and it cannot be done b/c of the way the top lays down in the rear of the 99-01CAB. Bummer.

 

yup, MY01 and earlier cannot be fitted with the glass top even if you replace the whole top. so, if glass is what he wants, better get the 02+, which has better interior, more aggressive fenders, better headlights and more choise of wheels.
