I'm selling my radio to a rennlister but the dealer can't tell me the security code for it, not with their computer at least because they said it is too old. If i bring it to them physically, can they hook it up and find out?
Is there a decoder online that lets me try it?
What is the factory default, first 4#'s of the vin?

your dealer is bs'ing you...I took a CDR220 to the dealer (I'm on good terms with the service manager) and he got the code using an automated dial-in number. unfortunately I was not able to see all the numbers and inputs to navigate the phone menu. he previously got me the code to a CDR210 a few years ago but at the time the code was faxed to him by PCNA.
there is no default that i know of, and the code is linked to the radio serial number not the car VIN...if your dealer can't help you, try Becker NA

Omar, call Dave Tomassetti at Pfaff Porsche and tell him that you're a friend of mine. He's one of their service advisors and if you 'buddy him up", you'll find that he's very helpful. 905-851-0852.
