How much shorter are the front drop links? If I can find the parts, I think I will be fabricating the links. Why? $400 for the Porsche motorsports verison is ridiculous IMO. Has anyone attempted this? If so, let me know where a good source for parts might be. I am in the hunt. Thanks!

Chad I meant to get this for you last time you asked. Here is mine as measured on the car. My guy cut the link, took out whatever length was required, and sleeved/rewelded, then painted. I don't know how much he took out, but I do know how long it is center-to-center:

Oh man...you rock!!! Sa-weet. If my rod-linked drop links don't pan out, this looks like the ticket. I assume you can set them at full stiff with no trouble?

I'm working with a shop in Ca. to make adjustable, similar to the cup, links. They should be ready soon and I'm guessing about 1/2 the price of the oe ones. PM me if interested and I'll give you details.

Chad, the place where they bind is shown very nicely in the photo about an inch or so below where the top of the endlink mounts to the wheel carrier. If you can imagine moving the bottom link more forward, i.e., stiffer and then turning the wheel left (this is the passenger side), you can see where the interference occurs especially throughout supension travel up and down. I doubt SLR has this interference problem since as you can see the OE endlink bodies are very thin. The downside to this nicely economical alternative to full rod end-based endlinks is more flex and not adjustable for preload, but those came out pretty good!

I'm not sure if it's cool to put the name of the shop here, since they are not a forum sponsor/vendor. I can say they've built all my race cars and maintained my World Challenge car, so I've trusted them with my life.....PM for info.
