Default Air Pressure for 19 inch wheels

I have some 19 inch speedart alloys. Does anyone know what the correct air pressure is for 19 inch wheels?

I would say something similiar to the 18's. Since 19's are not recommended on the 996, you may have to test and tune.

Just occured to me.. the new 997 has optional 19 inch alloys... would the tyre pressure be the same for a 996 chassis.

Different chassis all together. It was designed an tuned to be run with 19's. Might be a good start point, but you will still have to test and tune.

Also keep in mind that the 997 runs a "taller" wheel/tire combo, so 19s on a 997 have more cushion from the tire. My biggest worry running 19s would be rim damage, which would have me running at least the factory reco'd 36f/44r; if not higher.

i use 36F/44R

my setup
245/35-19F -> 25.7" diameter
285/30-19R -> 25.7" diameter

stock 1999 996 18" using conti sc2
225/40-18F ->25.1" diameter
265/35-18R-> 25.3" diameter

997S 19" wheels using conti sc2
235/35-19F-> 25.3" diameter
295/30-19R-> 25.9" diameter

looks like there a 1% difference in diameters between 18" stock 996 diameters and 19" stock 997S diameters. my wheel/ tire setup is within 1%, within the factory tolerance.

(all specs from tire rack)

I use 36f/40r. No rim damage in 40k miles and the last set of Goodyear Eagle F1 GS/D3's have so far lasted 9,000 miles and there's plenty of meet on them yet!
