I too have a 40th and am contemplating upgrading the audio. More interested in adding Sirius (no FM mod) and improving sq. How much of an improvement in sq have you noticed with your setup? And, if you had to do it over again, would you choose any different components?
Thanks,
Joe

Joe,

The sound quality is night and day as compared to the PCM II system. However, I personally think that the Alpine system, which I have for my other car, sounds a little bit better. As far as the “factory look” you can’t go wrong with the Kenwood system. You can add sirius easily with the Kenwood or Alpine.

Alpine will cost you a little bit more.

Alpine is about to start delivery of a new product (VehicleHub) that will attach to your system (I was told2 months). It will allow for addition of speakers, amps, etc. as well as fully integrated iPod attachment. It is model VPA-B211A.
