Mine sits at around 700 RPM and I think that is a little too low. The car shakes more then I think it should. Is it normal to see the passenger seat vibrate alot?
Another thing, I just added alittle oil into the car the other day and noticed alot of yellow gunk all around the oil cap and oil tube. Is that normal or is my car not running right?
Mine is at 800 rpm and you can't even tell the engine is running after warmup. However, before I installed the SC, idle was at 700 but still smooth with oocaasionaly roughness depending on how hard I was driving.
The yellowish oil you see if probably the result of condinsation which naturally occurs in the oil system. If you are taking trips of less than 15 - 20 minutes then you will get more of this because the engine is not reaching full operating temp to burn off the moisture. Take the car out and drive it hard and it will lessen.
It is normal for the idle to vary as much as -40 to +40 rpm.
800 huh? maybe I should have the dealer check it out and possibly bump it up a tad. The passenger seat is shaking and at times I hear the door rattling And this is just at idle
I had a patch of rough idle recently. It may have been a tank of bad gas, coupled with 1)bad habit of having my foot a little on the gas as I started the car and 2)having switched off the a/c. The idle drops 200 RPM for me and is a little rough when the a/c is off.
After emptying the tank and refilling the idle smoothed out. I took it to the dealer at first, and they said it looked like one bank of cylinders was trying to compensate for something, but after running through the tank of gas everthing read normal. There was never a CEL. My conclusion is that these engines are just a little finicky...air temp, gas quality, humidity, you name it..
hmm forgot the AC had to be on at all times.. I remember reading that somewhere.. I've had it off for quite sometime now.. Let me try turing it back on to see if that helps..

Why does the ac need to be on at all times
I turn it off when its not needed for a fraction more power and responsiveness
I also get a rough Idle with the A/C off. I can see the passenger seat shake a little. As soon as I turn on the A/C it idles @ 800 and smooth. Is this everyones experience too??

I have the same problem. I replaced the plugs and it helped for a while. I note that if I take it into the canyons and beat the snot out of it, no abuse just driving hard, it will be nice for a while. Alternatively you can undo the battery reseting the ecu and then drive it hard and that might make a slight difference as well. My car however has always ran rought with the passenger seat shaking.
