1Source, the best Coverage offerred is Emarald. This is the last line of items covered:

13. SEALS AND GASKETS: Seals and gaskets are covered only in conjunction with the repair of above listed covered components. Seepage of seals and gaskets is NOT covered.

Most of the plans I've looked into have the same disclaimer. To me, this would mean you would have to allow the leak to get bad enough to cause failure of one of the covered components and then you risk not meeting your responsibilities under terms and conditions.

I have the 1Source with Platinum coverage and zero deductible. Platinum has such things as dent removal, emissions equipment, etc. They claim to cover the RMS as this is supposedly a "component." You will only find out if they really cover this once you need the repair...and, as you can imagine, I would rather not! So far, 1Source has been prompt in answering questions, and tomorrow I will find out if they are so too in paying the mechanic. I am taking the car in for the airbag light that came on, and to check out the sticking front hood latch. I'll be happy to communicate my experience.

Best,
Geert

The CPO on the one that I am purchasing (at this point) costs $1550 plus the labor required to conduct the inspection. There is also the added cost of any items that must be replaced/repaired to meet the specs of the CPO (belts, hoses, brakes, maintenance items not yet completed, etc). In a nutshell it's at least $1550 + $500 for the 5-6 hours of labor to inspect the car.

FYI - I was quoted that the 15k service is $780 or so which includes the 15k brake flush. Does that gel with what others have paid?

I just purchased from aa autowarranty after numerous discussions with other insurers and my local shop. $1800 for up to 60k miles/5 years bumper-to-bumper. My 00 996 has 35k on it now. proof will come if i ever have to file a claim. seemed like a slightly better investment than blackjack.
couldn't find a bad customer service report on the web for aa. you will go blind reading all the fine print in these warranties - good luck.

I have warranty direct. they have been great! Covered my RMS issue and my cab top motor issues no questions and next day. I paid about $1600 for 4 years 60K miles. I am not affiliated with them other than a satisfied customer.
