Send it back, go buy the porsche unit, no warranty issues.

That's actually the entire unit that you buy when doing the retrofit, it actually used to come with the metal BM style bushings, now it's set up with plastic/teflon ones. Braman was selling the ssk's mounted in the plastic console before, that's actually how it is prepared for install on the assembly line. Those were probably units that never made it to cars, but were available for line install. When I bought mine from them, it actually came in a plastic bag marked 'assembly line', in german of course.
Nonetheless, it's a good deal, if anybody's on the fence, here is your chance!
