And knowing how the Greeks drive you probably did it on the road to Pirea

My trip in 95 to Athens left me with an impression I will never forget. My cousin picked me up in his "modified" Toyota Corolla and managed to do 180km/h through the centre of Athens and he didnt batter an eye lid. That night I thought I was going to die.

Top speed on a public road for me was ~160km/h going over the #$% %$# in Melbourne, first morning of owning my first porsche the 993. In the 996 I have only managed 145km/h on the &@)%$( freeway (Cant be too careful ).

since this is a 996 thread: we went 246 kph (152mph) in a 2004 996 between berlin and
leipzig this year in late march. I have photo which i can e-mail but I do not know how to
upload/resize for rennlist. we went faster but it was unbelievably windy and a fairly crowded
sunday afternoon. the tach read 5800 rpm's. needless to say i have been much faster in my
993tt...

I got up to 156 on this run last month.
Ran out of road. It's only a 1.5 mile stretch.
5th gear.
