I am also on the fence. I probably will need to call them and ask a few questions before I commit.

Ivan,

That sounds like a plan. I'd say do it, but tell him right now we may have as many as 13, and possibly the number could grow. However, after he gives you the price, let's make sure the figure doesn't go up if only 10 of us sign up. And if the number gets up to 15, there should be another (smaller) price break.

Anyhow, that's my thinking. But you're in charge. ;-)

Hey Carlos,

Good idea... I will bring that up tomorrow.

I am just the "voice" we are all in charge, that is why I am asking.

Hey Robert, the clutch and flywheel was 2,650.00 list price. I really did not want to wait for the whole discount because I really like doing one mod @ the time and being able to tell the difference...

Sounds good so far...
I am also thinking about the clutch/flywheel can you see if you can get a deal on that too? (Maybe even make it retroactive for you?)

This sounds great but you may want to reiterate with the sales person you’re dealing with that you have most of us on the fence pending the outcome of his pricing.

I mean this is the equivalent of buying 10 new Korean made automobiles…… not a couple of key heads.

Any more news?

I also spoke to Porsche Centre Melbourne (PCM) about me doing this install to my car and to my surprise they said it should NOT void the warranty on the car. Well if I manage to blow an engine it is a different thing all together but I specifically asked about the RMS and they said no worries. PCM is also a factory owned dealership - the only one in Australia that is.

Also on the point of blowing an engine what would a rebuilt be worth as a matter of interest - anyone know?

If the wife shoots down the 997 trade up , maybe this will look like a bargain to her......

Honey, you are right, the 997 is a waste of money and I will just supercharge the hell out of my 996 just to be more conservative with our money

If we have more than 15 units, we should be able to get around 25-30% of discount. That means that the price range would be about 7000 Bucks for the SC.

Maybe the best way to organize, is that everyone that is really commited send an e-mail to Ivan or Todd with his name and the year of the 996. What do you guys think?

Happy Customizing
