I've got red gauges in my C4S Cab on a black leather interior - red seatbelts, red calipers, and that big red reflector band across the back...
btw, I've got a stock '04 C4S suspension, rims and rubber (all never used) available for sale if you're interested...

The question about the brake and shifter--try Gert first, then Suncoast [http://e-partssales.com/Merchant2/me..._Code=POTE996]. As far as my opinion on the gauges, I think red would look good b/c its different...I have never seen a 996 with Red Gauges. You may want to check LA Porsche Dismantlers as well--they have random stuff come in a lot that you can save a boatload of money on [used parts]...
No affiliation, of course....

PSS9s and you're not going to track the car? For what? If you're diving your car in the winter, forget about coilovers. I had H&R coilovers on my first 996 and after one Toronto winter, they corroded to hell. If you've got the factory sport suspension (option 030) and you don't want a harsh ride on the streets, go over to Pfaff and drive any of their cars equipped with the H&R springs and factory sport shocks. You'll be impressed. If you want more, get the X74 kit or H&R springs with Bilstein shocks.
