Default Mk.1 GT3 (996 aerokit I) rear wing adjustment

Hi!

Has anyone adjusted the Mk.1 GT3 (996 aerokit I) rear wing?

I was just down in the garage and had a look at the adjustment points. On each side there is an adjustment bracket, which is held in place by a pin and a hex nut. The thing is that when moving the adjustment bracket to another position, there is no thread for the hex nut but the pin fits.

Greatful for any input from anyone that has performed this operation.

Ciao,

Johannes E.

I have the same issue on my 2000. Aeor kit wing has two adjustments but nowhere to secure them. Ir ead somewhere that you can purchase "shims" for this wing. Have you heard anything like that?

Here you go on the adjustment:

Oh, and the shims are for the newer style GT3 wing not the Mk1 'taco shell' wing.

On mine the adjustment brackets just pushed in on a pin, it wasn't bolted in or anything.

And one thing that I remember when I was adjusting my wing is after unbolting the rear, pull up on the front of the wing as well--if you don't, when you lift the rear and it starts pivoting on the pins in the front of the wing, the leading edge of the wing will start to dig into the paint on the front edges. It'll make more sense when you start doing it.
