Hi All,
Just thought I'd say hi. I just closed on my first Porsche earlier today and I'm pretty pumped about it. It was a pretty sweet deal with less than 30k miles and under $35K. I'm planning on getting an extended warranty to ward off any disasterous repairs (which are unlikely - I hope). Does anyone have any suggestions or tips?
Thanks,
Tim

I'm pretty excited. I've wanted one since I was about 8 years old.

Congrats and welcome!
If you are looking for aftermarket warranties, I would suggest if you can find a place locally, as you may be able to get better rates/more coverage. However, if you can't, there are national warranty companies such as Warranty Direct and 1 Source Auto Warranty, which I've heard good things about (through research on the web).
One last thing... get some pics up!

I think I've found one. Its for 4 years or until the odo reads 75k for $2200. Bumper to bumper coverage. The website was http://aaaautowarranty.com/. The finance manager at the dealership where I bought the car contacted a local Porsche dealership and I'm going to talk with them tomorrow. I'll check out warranty direct. I've had pretty good luck with extended warranties. I had one for my old Land Rover and it easily paid for itself.

ekename - be sure to read the "fine print" when a warrnty says bumper to bumper. There are many plans out there claiming to offer bumper-to-bumper coverage, but few can actually claim true coverage. Just a FYI
