Local dealer will not certify a private sale car

Analyst,
i purchased an 02 cab with 14000 miles CPO in NY for 53K. Car had PSM, no xenon, 18 inch carrera 5 spokes, side skirts, partial leather. I was in the exact same position as you. I did not want to take a chance. MY car received a new clutch and RMS during the certification process. I was told the seal was weeping. I checked under the car, visited it several times prior to purchase, and saw no leaks. I think the dealer wanted to get the "warranty work" as much as possible.

I checked this out and since I live in GA, I am not eligible. There must be something with their plan that is against GA consumer protection regulations. There are a few other states as well.

I must say that this is a really good price for a 02 coupe too. Maybe there are better deals in the North than the South. Here (TX) no dealer sells their 02's less than 56K (non CPO), and they want $1600 for the CPO and for me to pay any repairs needed
