Default snow tires for C4S

I'm looking to get some snow tires for my C4S. Tire Rack has two that fit my car and barely fit my rims. Is it ok(just ok) to put 265 snow tires, whose max rim is a 10.5, onto my 11.0 rims that held 295"s?
I'm not too crazy about buying a set of rims. If I'm going to have a set of mounted rims clogging up my garage, I'd rather have race tires. My current tires will need replacement in the spring anyway. Don't know what to do, last winter was just tolerable with those tires.

My suggestion to you is to buy an extra set of rims, use it with snow tires in winter and with R-compounds or slicks in summer for tracking, and the extra rims with street tires can be the extra set at the track if it rains or if you puncture a tire etc...my $0.02

I second that opinion. Buy a used set of 17" rims (they're cheap compared to 18" rims).

Did you change the rear wheels? The standard rear wheel for the C4S is 10" whereas the Turbo is 11" (at least, I think that is right). So that means you should be OK right?

I use dunlop wintersport M2s with no problem on 17 inch rims. Make sure you get a narrower tire out back. Unlike in the dry, it is better to have narrower snow tires because it helps push the tire into the snow which packs it creating more traction. I just put them on this weekend.
