Question Shell "Helix" vs. Mobil 1

For the first time, my car has been filled with Shell Helix at a major service. Initially I noted slightly better oil pressure when warm (+0.5 bar) but after a gentle (ish) drive down a motorway for 70 miles I discovered later, when the engine was cold, that the electronic dip stick was 2 bars down. This was confirmed by the dip-stick and I refilled up to the notch again. This is the first time in 3 years that the car has ever needed topping up between services. No leaks (not even one of THEM) and the oil was on the mark when it left the OPC.
Has anyone experienced anything like this themselves? I wasn't even aware that Helix was approved by Porsche....
Must get out more, I suppose.

Helix Ultra 0W-40 and 5W-40 are on the approved list.
