So it's stuck up-high in the window but the visor is behind it, the mirror next to it therefore it "blends" in ???

A buddy has his in the same place, hardwired into the power for the sunroof/dome lights. If he didn't point it out, you'd never notice it.

V1...accept no substitute. The directional arrows are worth the price alone.

Yep.....not saying its perfect but worked for me.

I've had alot of trooper 'conversations' through my window in the last 10 yrs....none have ever said anything about me having 'detection'.

Currently installed this way on 5 cars........oldest is 05 993......yes I'm a good customer of Mike

I have a Escort Solo S2, works great. My buddy has a V1, we were enroute to Watkins Glen for a DE, my S2 is going crazy about a lazar. My buddy has no warning at all. By the time we saw the cop, he barely got the Viper slowed down.
Just anecdotal, but I think all the high-end detectors are about the same. Personally, I don't like the way the valentine guy runs down the other companies, bush league.

I'm a fan of the valentine. No ticket if I had paid attention to it screaming at me.

There's no subsitute for keeping your eyes open and looking for 'enforcement'. The detectors are an aide.

If you want stealth check out the Passport SRX: same detection capabilities as the 8500 (or V1) with the added advantages of stealth, and laser jamming. Expensive, but highly effective.
