door glass out of alignment?
my passenger side window seems to be out of alignment, or?? when opening or closing the door, the edge that laps the b-pillar, comes in contact with the edge of the rear side window. is there a controller for the window operation that can also cause this? i would like to know before the dealer takes the door apart.

Whats probably happened is the window has shifted in the lift mechanism. They'll probably have to removed the door panel to ensure that the window is snug in the lift mechanism (aka window regulator) and then adjust it to fit properly. Should be an easy fix.

I just replaced my regulator yesterday, and so I've seen the adjustment mechanism first hand.
There are oval-shaped plastic plugs on the bottom of the door that give you access to the window regulator mechanism. There are two ways that you can adjust this. The first is the nut that connects the regulator mechanism to the bottom of the door. If this has become loose and allows the window regulator to move back and forth, then you can put it back into the proper position and tighten it. The second is to adjust it using the adjustment screw. There is one on each side of the regulator (two total - one front and one back). If the window glass has actually become loose within the regulator mechanism, then you need to tighten the bolts that clamp the glass in place. I'm not sure if you can reach this witout taking the door panel off.

Should just be an alignment as described above done with an hour of two of labor?

for the record:
I had to remove my door panel. I did not remove the sound deadening material as I planned on reusing it. I used an exacto knife and cut the material so I could look at the mechanism holding the window.
Well, it looks like the rear clamp that holds the glass was the culprit. There are two clamps holding the glass one in the front the other in the rear. The one in the rear must have loosened up allowing the glass to fall down in which the glass would hit the rear quarter.
I moved the glass back up after a few adjustments which looks like it was about 1/4, tightened up the bolt and walla......closed perfectly.
Taped the sound deadening material back up using duct tape put the panel back on...job done
