wheel weight
does anyone know where to go to find weights of 996 wheels? i have the gt3 wheels on my c4s cab and i would like to know if they are lighter than the standard turbo wheels. thx!

i found something on the gt3 forum. apparently front wheels weight 27lbs and rear weight 30 pounds compared with 52lbs and 63lbs, respectively, for the standard C4s wheels. that is some serious weight savings!

Those C4S wheel weights must be with tyres, no way they can weight so much.
Even 27 & 30 lbs is heavy for a good wheel, Porsche's sport classics (which aren't that light) weight 23.3 (8x18") and 28 (10x18") lbs.
Couple of good aftermarket wheel weights:
-18” FIKSE FM-10: 8” x 18” 20.80 lbs & 10” x 18” 22.00 lbs.
-18” KINESIS K-28: 8.5” x 18” 21.50 lbs & 10” x 18” 23.00 lbs.

I believe (from memory) the 996TT hollow spokes weigh 21.5 front and 25.5 rear. Rears with tires (295 Corsas) weigh 50.5. The new style GT2 wheels weigh a couple of pounds more, and solid spoke wheels weigh 4-5 pounds more than hollows each.
