Just did my oil and filter change for both my A6 biturbo and my C4 this weekend. 20 quarts of Mobil 1 and the two filters cost me $121 at NAPA. Job on both cars, including 1 hour drain time (both cars in the shop at the same time) took me 1 and a half hours.

It is a very easy job.

In NYC Manhattan Motor cars charges about $325.00 and I think that it is still expensive! If you know how to use a wrench then I woudl recommend doing it yourself. As someone mentioned in the previous post, you can get the instructions from one of the DIY's. I did the oil change and the instructions were so easy to follow, that I recently changed my pads and rotors, also using the DYI.

I bought the oil and filter and my local service station charged me $20 for putting the car on a lift and doing the wrenching. <$100 and kept my hands clean (that day at least).
