Cannot get exhuast tip clamp off
I want to change the tips on my 1999 996 cab. I got the bolt off one of a clamp that holds the tip on (with much effort due to), but the clamp will not budge. I tried PB blaster and WD40. Is there a trick to it? Or is it hammer time
Thanks!
Thanks!

I had the same problem wirh I installed PSE. Spray it with WD-40, wait 15 minutes and gently try again to remove it. Spray and wait again if you need to. Be gentle; you don't want to accidently break it.
Good luck,
Mark

I feel your pain...
Mine were rusted solid and would not budge. I ended up grinding off the formed end of the bolts and used aftermarket bolts. One of the clamps was damaged (a little too much zealousness with the grinder) and I made a new "end". I grinded a nice round shape, flattened it in a vice clamp, bent it into position and drilled a new hole. I just used a slightly longer bolt in that one and it still worked perfectly. I would have preferred going to a local Porsche parts shop, but that includes either mail order or a round trip inter-island flight and a rental car...
