Need Advice - Thanks
Now I have to figure out whether I should buy an extended warranty. I'm moderately risk tolerant. Warranty Direct offers 6/75 for about $3200. And it's pretty good coverage.
Reading through the threads, it seems that there is one constant potential problem: RMS failures and resulting damage. Seems like a design flaw. However, there weren't any recalls that I'm aware of. Porsche apparently pays half the cost of engine replacements and perhaps more if pushed. Where can I discover the numbers, i.e., the percentage of 2000 911s that have actually had the RMS problem, the percentage of those with engine replacements, etc.
Also, are there any other major recurring problems that should factor into the decision to purchase an extended warranty?
Thanks in advance for your advice.
