For those of you who have been following my saga with PCNA and my 40th Anniversary car, I have a final update.
After replacing 40th car #663 with 40th car #517 the 2nd car was delivered with numerous problems. After reading most of your thoughts on the issue, I decided to let Porsche fix the car. Well, the parts needed for the replacement of the guages are on a 2 month backorder. My dealership called PCNA on my behalf and said that the total situation (2 40th Anniversary Cars, 2 Major Problems in each car) was unfair to me , the consumer, and something else needed to be done.
Well, low and behold, I am now the proud owner of a brand new 2004 C4S Cabriolet (w, hardtop). Porsche totally stepped up to the plate, as did the dealer. The car has xenons, bose, CD-4 changer, supple leather, stainless dual tips, white side markers, heated seats, hardtop, $ crested valve stem covers.
The most amazing part of the story is that PCNA did a substitution of collateral and I am paying the same for the C4S as I did for the 40th Anniversary car. I am in equity on the C4S already, so I figure I will drive it until the 997 C4S is introduced and move to the new model.
Congratulations! Glad to hear that everything worked out -- I love the widebody cabs! Of course you know what this means...now you have to post pictures!
I thank the guy upstairs my 40th has been perfect since delivery, now with 1600 miles. Thanks for taking all the flaws for us.
I drove a friend's 02 C4S this past weekend with PSE and its a very sweet ride. Enjoy that beauty!
It seems PCNA really look after their customers (as they should).
This contrasts dramatically with the general felling hear in the UK.
Please have a look at the Porche Club BG technical formun and you'll see the level of dissatisfaction here in the UK particularly with regard to the RMS issue.
