Where to get used 996 engine.

JimB's response is what I know to be fact too...there are a few companies that do refits into Boxsters of the 3.4l engines...that is about the price they mention also at the discounted price of the rebuilt motor from Porsche dealer...
Go with that one...plus it has a 2yr. warranty I believe.

I just purchased a remanufactured engine 1 week ago $8,2000 plus $2,400 core deposit and $1,600
to install. 2 Year Parts only no labor from porsche. Currently Porsche rep is checking out a noisy lifter
that fixed it's self at only 531 miles on the rebuilt . Engine came with everything except flywheel/clutch and A/C compressor just add fluids and drive. I own a 1999C2 wth 51K miles
the original had a bad intermedate shaft.
Good Luck

I bought from my local dealer in June and list price was $6767 {-5% for PCA member} plus $2100 for core charge that I got back.
