Default Sport Catalytic Converter

Anyone know where I can buy sport catalytic converters? I hate the dull look of the stock ones.

Thanks!

Do you know why they are so expensive? Any, less expensive alternatives?

Thanks!

Do they increase the sound that the car makes?

Fabspeed's should be available within a week or two. They retail at $520, less than half of what FVD wants for theirs. I like Fabspeed's stuff - I have the Maxflo mufflers and my headers shipped yesterday. I will get the sport cats when they are available. They have the inputs for the 02 sensors built-in, of course. If there are any issues with setting off the emissions CEL upon installation, you can have it reset at any competent shop.

stevo...i was under the impression that they were cat bypass pipes..not sport cats.. meaning you will have no cats at all...

Yes they are considered a "by-pass" for the stock cats. They still include the plug ports for the O2 sensors. They will offer a lot less restriction than stockers. I am planning on getting these. Here's a pic:

seen em and am considering getting them..the only question i have is if they do more harm than good..especially considering i'm running mufflerless...i fear i may loose too much backpressure and thus a great deal of lowend torque by taking out the cats entirly... in addition to which it will trigger an engine check light that i'm not sure how to bypass..

Steve-O: I see four O2 sensor holes on your photo of the stock cats, and only two on the by pass pipes. Is it just the angle of the photos?

Used mothers metal polish w/a dremel & a felt tip. It took about an hour, did it this spring & it still looks good.

Don't know. That would be a good question for Joe Fabianni at Fabspeed.
