After reading what several of you had said, I modified the hole for the drain plug and made it bigger. I also went ahead and modified the back portion of the plate to allow easier access to the filter housing.

Now I can get my whole hand around the filter housing and it can come straight down without any worries of spilling because I had to tilt it.

did you land up just using three mounting bolts or is there a 4th?
