Sounds like your situation is similar to mine, although I care less about a smooth ride and though I would like a little lowering I am concerned about too much. See this recent thread: https://rennlist.com/forums/996-forum/150528-pss9-row-m030-x74-not-again.html
I talked to Gert at Carnewal, at length. Basically his comments: don't need PSS9 if you don't need to adjust it for the track - most people install it and then leave the settings; everyone thinks X74 is too harsh but it's really not; therefore, X74 is the best setup by far if you don't need adjustability.
I'm guessing Euro M030 might give you a little of what you want, but my conclusion is that its probably not enough for me. See the X74 comments on Gert's site: X74 Comments
I have essentially decided to go with X74. Gert is expecting a large shipment around the end of this month, and then can give more favorable pricing than shows now on his site.

I have the Bilstein PSS9 kit in my car and I am very happy with it. I use my car as a daily driver and regularly take it on the track and autocross. The overall ride is better than the OE M030 setup.

I have the H&R Coilover kit. I like it a lot, and it is great as a daily driver. I will probably get something stiffer next time though (probably H&R's club sport version) as I would like it a bit stiffer.

If you purchase X74 or the H&R coilovers you will be stuck with the same ride, PSS9 would give you the opportunity to vary your ride from plush for long freeway trips to very stiff for more "spirited" outings. I just purchased PSS9 and love them. I have a cab and it seems to take longer than the coupe, but I can still change fronts and rears within about 10 min. For roughly the same money you get the best of both worlds... just my .02.

The front shocks are changed at the bottom, just above the lower A arm, and can be done by turning the wheel to allow access. Simply adjust the dial at the bottom, I use a mirror and flashlight to see the adjustment line. If you have a floor jack, the access is easier and the process is faster. The rears are adjusted from the top of the shock tower. I have a cab and it requries me to close the top about 2/3 and remove the tray behind the rear seats. The adjustment is under a small piece of insulation. I have the whole process down to about 10 minutes.... of course I usually stop for a sip from an ice cold adult beverage between the front and rears.

Hey DirtDoc,
thx for the explanation... I had adjustables on an MR2 turbo long time ago and had super easy access to all 4 shock towers... 5-min total... sounds like the Porsche is a little more work but still doable..
how many levels of do you have with the PSS9? I'm assuming alignment is only required when changing the height and not the dampening of the shocks correct?

DirtDoc,
The PSS9's are available with GT3 swaybars... is this mandatory or can you install with stock swaybars... what are the benefits of the GT3 sway bars... do U have the GT3 swaybars?
thx

You mentioned that you don't intend on tracking the car??? If not, I would think that the stock sway bars would be just fine. The heavier GT3 sway bars give more rigidity up front and more options for tuning.
