No sound from harman audio
Head unit would not turn on most of the time and when it did, it would stay on for a few seconds and go blank.
I replaced the head unit with an Alpine single DIN and used the Metris wire harness adapters from Crutchfield, following their instructions. All splices are soldered and heat shrinked. I'm using the RCA outs from the head unit.
Still no audio so I checked fuses and D9 was missing! Installed the fuse and it didn't blow, but still no audio.
I ordered a used "tested good" amp from eBay and installed it. Still no audio. I confirmed the amp does have good power. Since there aren't any status lights on the amp I can't really confirm if it's turning on or not.
Any help at this point would be appreciated. I feel like I must be missing something dumb here.
Edit: I was missing something dumb and found this info elsewhere, so I'm sharing it here. My car does not have a lower console on the dash but it was supposed to. The previous owner deleted the console and the DSP unit that was in there. The amp won't pass any sound if it doesn't see the DSP. I like the clean look of the console delete so I'm going to buy the dsp panel and find someplace to tuck it under the dash.
