Front Axle 6mm Bolt Torque Value?

For a C4/C4S/Turbo what is the torque value for the six 6mm bolts securing the axle to the front differential?

I’ve seen 29 ft/lbs and 44 ft/lbs. Looking for the right value.

They are M8, 6mm a/f, not M6. The 44 are probably Nm, not ft-lbs.
Spec in WSM, printed in 2000 is 29 ft-lbs or 39Nm.
