Glove box swap-out?
I was recently in the showroom at Porsche of Honolulu checking out the remaining C4S's, and I can't help but drool over the idea of the glove box in front of the passenger's seat that my '99 does not have. Has anyone ever upgraded dash parts to "acquire" the handy addition of that glove box? Is it possible? How difficult would it be? My wife is Jonesing for a little more handy storage space in our 996 and I just cannot afford a new one...

If you need some more space, Bird sells a collar for the center console that serves as an armrest and storage bin. Forgot the cost but it is convenient. www.birdautomotive.com (I think)

Cost is pretty significant.........I put one in a couple of years ago based on what Don's looked like......... I Like it alot, seem to remember that the cost was around $350. They have an ad in Pano sometimes.........

The only way to get that glove box would be to swap out the entire dash, not the best of ideas. Also rattles can occur after a while, etc.. I would say the collar for the center console is your best bet.
