Color Question - Arctic Silver vs. Meridian Silver
I am looking at purchasing an 02 C4 Cab in Meridian Silver. I recently sold my 00 C2 Cab in Arctic Silver. I have not seen the Meridian Silver in person and was wondering how it compared to the Arctic Silver. I am a fan of the Arctic Silver and am hoping the Meridian is close. Also, would this color hurt the resale considering it is not "mainstream"? Thanks in advance.

As Viken says Meridian Metallic is a champagne color. No silver. I went looking for Meridian cars when I found my Arctic Silver. The ones I found were at a small premium asking price here in the Northwest. Recently, one of the posters on this forum said that Meridian cars were at discounted prices on the Eastern Coast.
It's a good color that shows better when clean than Arctic Silver, while still being lower maintenance than the darker flavors. AS probably hides the dust better when dirty.
Not many Meridians around whereas Arctic is the single most popular color in late model 996 and 986.

I love my Meridian Metallic. The color is now on the special order list, but that shouldn't effect resale. Its slightly darker than AS, has a touch of blue/purple in it....

Viken/lex - you guys are thinking Mirage Metallic. Meridian is silver (sorta). You can see the difference btwn AS and MM by looking at the lower pic, the rims v the body color...

No they are thinking Meridian. I considered it briefly. The colors actually change depending on the light. Sometimes it looks more beige, sometimes more blue/purple...
I think it is nice but something of an acquired taste. I went AS (obviously)

If you compare your initial pix to the niello pix, the colors are completely different. The color defintely changes depending on the light. I test drove one that seemed cooler when it was indoors and warmer (e.g. beige/brown/champagne) when it was in the sun.

And along the same theme, i just nabbed a GT Silver rear center console off ebay for an incredulous price. I hear GT silver is very like arctic. Can anyone give me any examples/comparisons?

If anyone needs to see these colors up close and personal, we have all the plugs in those colors (factory exact finish).
Mirage Metallic is a champagne beige color
Meridian Silver is a light silver with a hint of pink undertone (warm)
Arctic Silver is a light silver with a black base (cold)
Polar Silver is a light silver with a blue undertone (colder)
CGT Silver is a shade darker than Arctic, but just barely (warmer)

Thanks for your quick responses and pictures. I think I'm going to take a pass on the Meridian and wait for what I want ('02 of '03 C2 Cab in Black, Arctic Silver, or Seal Gray). Thanks again!
