Default 996.2 Error Codes

Hi All,
Just after thoughts on what I'm seeing here.

I got the PIWIS 3 going and ran a scan. I tried to save the VAL but regardless what I did I couldn't find any files on the system. So I grabbed the screen with the following errors.

Note P1328 / P1341 had details of the milage of when this occurred. It was with the previous owner and the engine has had a rebuild, by them, since then. So I'm not worried about those. I'm more after
* P0571 - which I've bought a new brake switch but it looks similar but different. My cruise control works / doesn't work from time to time.
* 59 (Alarm System)
* 37 (A/C)
* 9114 (Instrument Cluster)

I've subsequently cleared the codes

thanks
Justin

The 59 (and 60) alarm code is in the immobilizer. Its just a general code for an event. It just means an expecteded limit swich or condition was not hit. Basically something interupted the function. If the alarm system works dont worry about it.

Do u have an aftemarker radio? The 37 and 9114 pop up usually because the factory radio has a can bus connection so u can ignore it.

I would lay odds that the brake switch is the issue with cruise. If u have a manual trans make sure u r look at the brake switch not the clutch swich. Others have made this mistake and swapped the wrong part.

Thanks for the response. I have PCCM+ installed. Early version where the tripmeter constantly resets and the audio crackles when an iPhone is plugged in. So I assume the codes 37;9114 are due to that.

I've squeezed my rotund frame under the steering wheel and can I see the switch on the brake peddle. I've got a new switch from cars245 (Vemo brand). Looks different but all I can do is attempt to fit it and it is works great, if not revert and then by another AF brand
