Arggh. Damn stick on carbon fiber
pieces came on the 02 C4S I just picked up. Definitely need to remove the pieces. They consist of door armrest (storage covers), side vents, a few pieces on the center console, and one piece around the hazard button.
They look like ***. Anybody have tips for removal? Perhaps a heat gun/hairdrier, and peel slowly. I'm hoping they don't permanently mar the underlying surfaces.
Why anyone would stick these pieces on the car is beyond me, especially on leather.

You'll want to apply some heat to the area, although not too much as to damage the underlying (and infinitely more desireable) surfaces. I would also recommend a little "goo-gone" to clean off stubborn adhesive residue that will liekly remain. There a a multitude of interior touch up/repair services that are economically viable options should some damage occur as a result of the adhesive or removal thereof.

Heat will help soften the adhesive and make it easier to remove. Not sure you would want to try an adhesive remover on leather. Spot test in an inconspicuous place first. To be safe, I would probably try rolling the adhesive off with my thumb or finger.

Stickers, are they even worth it? Actually I think I already know the answer to this question. Anybody had a positive experience with stick on CF?

ahhhh! I had no idea this thing was that old, never thought to check since it was at the top of the forum list today! Well, like mentioned above, does anyone have a pic of an actual car with the stick on carbon fiber? I am not looking to do it (I have the normal carbon pieces), but am curious to see how close it actually looks in the car.

It's hilarious to me that someone would actually (technically) ADD weight to their vehicle by adding carbon fiber to the interior.
