Default Valuation help, pls 996 cab '99

Can I please get some valuation help.
My friend is selling his 99, 996 cab - he is not sure what to ask and where it would sell.
33k miles, 99, very good condition , but some curb rash on rims.
color: Mirage metallic / black
Hard top, CD indash 6-cd, full leather, aluminum package, heated seats, 18 twist wheels, 3spoke steering wheel.

A broker is offering 40k. What is the right price both for broker and private??
thanks,

Sold my triple black 99 C2 cab w/ 31k miles, similar options, for $47,500 in March to a private buyer. However, the car was certified by Porsche till 10-06, which adds at least a little to the bottom line.

that sounds about right for the broker price. for a private sale i'd say it's worth about $45K.

Figure that broker wants to make 5-7K on it. I would price it in $45-50 range for private sale.

Its a great car but Mirage (i believe that is the gold color??) is a really tough color to move. I am actually surprised that the broker is offering you that much up front. For a 99 Cab I would be very happy anywhere in the low forties, however you got it.

I got my 99 last summer {Blue C2 with 62K miles, base model for the most part, no problems, clean inside and out except for one coffee stain} for $33.6K.
