Default Installed the one touch top

I also dd the pink/gray wire snip. The whole job took about a half an hour. Everything works as advertised. The one touch module is well made and the written, full color instructions are clear and complete.

I recommend the mod. Makes for a quick top up or down, while moving. A very nice feature.

What is the pink/gray snip? Does that allow you to operate at speed?

I would like a product like this for my CAB but I would hate to think what could happen if I accidently touch the top switch while driving at highway speed!

LV,
The grey pink snip does exactly that...you can raise your top while the car is in motion. I did it a year and a half ago and never had a problem. You STILL need to pull the hand brake....so unless the hand brake is pulled, the top won't go up or down. So you pull it up one click, its not engaged, but the PARK light is on, then the top moves. So there is no chance of accidentally hitting the button (or your passenger) hitting the button when you're doing sixty unless you drive around with the parking brake on...

The newer cabs say you can use the top below 30mph...I usually don't go above 25 while I'm doing it. Never had a problem....

These guys have it...

That's great. Total reassurance now. So, without the snip you still have one-touch but just have to be stationary?

yes, without the snip, you need to be 0 mph.
i've done the same install as gretch and have been very satisfied.

Yes I installed the one-touch in the 04 c4s cab and the only issue is that the wire colors on the new models are different than the instructions so I had to visually match the wires by pulling them off one at a time and put them in the correct location.... works perfectly and makes all the difference.

I put the top up and down at around 30MPH all the time no issues. Wonder how fast you can really go??

Rob,
I think that the newer models you can't do it above 35mph....ie, the car wont let you. With the snip snip on the earlier models, the skies the limit....that said, the newer models have a glass back windows, v. the plastic ones, which I why I keep it around 25 or under...

I've got the SharkWorks one touch and have done the Top Down On the Fly hack. No problems, chicks dig it.

I guess this makes sense for most - I have 3 seven year old boys who often run up to me as I get home from work and am putting the top up. The potential for injury keeps me away from this mod...

The one touch I installed has a wire that is designed to splice into the radio speed senor wire. If you do that install and the pink/gray clip, the one touch function is impared at speeds in excess of 25mph, at least that is how I read it.........from the instructions......
