Default Cam chain tensioner guide o-rings

Bought two sets of the OE Porsche guides from Pelican, and they did not come with the green o-rings. Anybody have the o-ring p/n or know where to order them from separately?

Weird they did not come with O-rings. My pads I installed in November had them, pretty sure they were from Pelican. It’s a trivial cost, but I would still call Pelican and inquire.

In correspondence with Pelican and with the local Porsche dealer, the Porsche OE guide kit does not come with the o-rings and they need to be bought separately. The aftermarket kits that Pelican and other suppliers sell, do come with the o-rings.

My old version of PET does not show the o-ring p/n separate from the guide kit, so both the Dealer and Pelican were able to look up the p/n for me.

Pelican has the o-rings available separately, but I wasn't able to find them on their website w/o their help with the part number. They are around $14 ea. from Porsche or Pelican.

Interesting. I did some digging on this on the Sunset and Pelican websites, here's what I found:

996-105-253-00
Engine Timing Chain Guide- Porsche
$47.38
Comes with O-ring (can confirm, this is the kit I used)
Listed as NLA at Pelican but still available at Sunset

996-105-253-01
Installation Kit - Porsche
$39.28
Appears to be the part you ordered/received - no O-ring
Listed as superceding 996-105-253-00 by Pelican

Thanks for looking into it.

I ordered -00 from Pelican a couple months ago, and it shows -00 on my invoice, but the boxes received are -01. So that explains the omitted o-rings...

Also, when I discussed with the dealer parts guy yesterday, and gave him the -00 part number, he said the o-rings are separate and not included. So it may now be superseding in their system. For example Gaudin Porsche shows -00 as discontinued even though Sunset still shows it's available (?).

Either way, I've ordered the o-rings and hopefully they show up by tomorrow so I can continue putting everything back together this wknd.
