Fly yellow and speed yellow are different shades. I have seen Fly Yellow special ordered on Porsches before. The Fly yellow seems to be a bit lighter, not as orangish if that makes sense. Porsche has used Speed Yellow for a long time. I think I like Speed Yellow better, but they both are cool and 911s look good in Fly Yellow also.

Good on you!
It's not a matter of saying "look at me". Sports cars are by definition extrovert and therefore I believe the colour should match. The Speed Yellow is beautiful on that car. In a world of dull-coloured Porsches you have definitely made the right decision.

Thanks Harry. It's funny, I've read posts on this board along the lines of "If yer gonna go, go BIG" and "only live once" and so forth.

Well, I finally thought that I have no reason to be conservative; I have my own business, no corporate bullchit to deal with, no feelings to hurt, no image to uphold. So, I'm going in deep baby!

Flyin' out to pick it up on Monday.

The only thing more exciting picking it up, is getting it onto the track.

I'm. . . . all. . .. . giddy.

Thumbs up

Jeff:

Good for you buddy! If it is anything like my last car you'll have little kids pointing and tugging their Dad's sleeve every time you drive by.

Wishing you nothing but the best of luck with it!

Thanks Barry

Tough to ruin a 911 with any color paint, so it's all good.

It's a risk for me, as now I *better* be faster than all my BMW friends. . speed yellow requires that I turn a faster lap than the bimmerheads.

Default "EAT BMW" was my vanity plate on my 993...

The frame read " Tastes Great" on top and "Less Filling" on the bottom. I know lots of bimmer pilots in this town and some took me seriously. Outsiders got a good laugh, which was my intention.

Sports car should be BOLD; Sedan should be elegant.

Love my SY except one time happen couple days ago - when I stop in middle line at traffic light, a yellow cab pulled right next to me. and couple seconds later a school bus pulled left side of me... suddenly, I felt blend in... =)

Be BOLD, it's a 911 and you can't hide anyway...
