Hi guys,
I need to get some detail regarding a carrera 4 model 1999, this car was for sale in gulf country.
as carrera 4 is 4 wheel drive, during check we found that there are front drive shaft & front side all wheel drive as well, but the connecting shaft from front all wheel drive unit to transmission is missing.
I found a sticker on transmission but could not decode it.


I just want to confirm that this transmission is for the correct model( carrera 4), not a for carrera 2.
can someone explain please

 

Many people remove the drive shaft between the front of the gearbox and the differential at the front of the car to turn the c4 into a c2. If that were the case, you should be able to see the front of the gearbox to have connection points for a front drive shaft. If it is all closed up and just a clean nose, then the gearbox was for a C2 rear wheel drive/

I noticed there was some connection point in front side of gearbox, although the splines were not clearly visible. Than it should be for carrera 4, as front all wheel drive & both drive shafts were there.
